We care about ministries.
We care about ministry leaders and their families.

Why we started Ministry Transitions…
Ministry Transitions was born out of lived experience. We’ve sat at the table making hard decisions - and we’ve been on the receiving end when those decisions weren’t handled well. We’ve watched people we love walk away from ministry hurt, confused, and alone. And we’ve felt it ourselves.
So we built what we wish had existed for us.
With a team that includes seasoned pastors, coaches, missionaries, marketplace leaders, and therapists, we provide strategic, compassionate guidance to leaders and organizations navigating transition. We’ve seen what happens when a someone leaves and the wake is never named - when the story ends without care, closure, or blessing.
We won’t fix everything, but we care deeply, and we believe the body of Christ can do this differently. Christian communities are really good at saying hello, it’s time we got better at saying goodbye.
William (Bill) Tom
CEO, Chief Ministry Officer
Bill has been in marketplace ministry for over 35 years, serving the Lord in his vocational roles, ranging from design engineer for HP to Sr VP leadership roles in Silicon Valley to CEO and business owner. In parallel to his journey, he has established lay ministries and Christian communities within all the firms he has been part of. He later established FUSION Leaders, a marketplace community that connects marketplace Christians to build Christ-centered relationships to support each other in their marketplace vocations.
Bill also established a professional services firm performing leadership coaching and executive search serving privately held mid-market businesses. In connection to these services, he was often referred various executives as well as pastors who have been displaced to help them through their transition. It was in hearing the painful stories from these displaced pastors and their families that established his compassion for these walking wounded who have been oftentimes unceremoniously transitioned out of their church. Pastoral Transitions is an outgrowth of that compassion.
Bill has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, an MS in Engineering Management from Santa Clara University, and an MBA from Golden Gate University. He is married to his wife, Linda, and is father to 3 adult daughters, and a son in college, all wonderfully gifted in the arts.

Noe Rivera
Chief Counseling Officer
Noe Rivera has been in the people business for over 20 years, serving the church body through his work in ministry, missions, and the marketplace. He served as a short-term missionary leader to more than 20 countries and became the co-founder of a long-term missionary base in Guatemala. In his current work as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Noe continues to serve the church by providing therapy for pastors, ministry leaders, and their families.
Along with his missionary and therapy work, Noe grew up as a worship pastor’s kid who served across many different denominations where he intimately experienced the ins and outs of churches, leadership dynamics, and the impact of both helpful and hurtful pastoral transitions. Having experienced his own hurt, and seeing it in his family, he is passionate about seeing healthy pastoral transitions happen for as many pastors and their families as possible.
Noe has a BA in Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University, a graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from UCLA, and an MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary Graduate School of Psychology. He resides in Southern California where he enjoys family, friends, and all things nature and sunshine; quietly pushing his limits, summiting Mt. Whitney, and running the LA Marathon.

Ron Henry
Chief Succession Officer
Ron Henry has spent over five decades helping leaders navigate seasons of change. From his early years in the music industry to executive search and career advisory services, Ron has consistently worked in the “people business” - coaching, connecting, and placing thousands of leaders in roles across corporate, nonprofit, and ministry settings.
But his work has never just been about resumes or titles. Known as a “netweaver,” Ron is a trusted connector who builds bridges between people and purpose. His passion is not just for organizations but for the individuals who serve them - especially those facing the weight, uncertainty, and opportunity that comes with leadership transitions.
Now, as Chief Succession Officer at Ministry Transitions, Ron brings together a lifetime of experience to help mission-driven organizations plan well for what’s next. He walks with boards, executives, and outgoing leaders to make sure that the people involved are just as cared for as the mission being protected.
Ron earned his MBA from The Wharton School and his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island. He also serves as an ordained Minister of Reconciliation with Windows of Heaven Jesus’ Storehouse.
He and his wife, Becki, have been married for over 45 years. They live in Franklin, Tennessee, where they relocated after 40 years in Southern California, and enjoy life alongside their grown children and grandchildren.
